Kahina Haynes

Kahina Haynes is Executive Director of The Dance Institute of Washington (DIW), the leading minority-led, pre-professional dance equity organization in Washington, DC. DIW supports students from underserved communities, balancing artistic excellence at the highest level while building lifelong skills and confidence. Haynes is working to increase inclusive and diverse representation at every level of the professional ballet and dance industries in Washington, DC, and through that effort, to impact racial and economic equity in dance nationally and globally. Prior to her role with DIW, Haynes worked in program and process evaluation for a number of philanthropic and nonprofit organizations including the United Nations (Bureau for Development Policy at UNDP), The Annie E. Casey Foundation, Safe Kids Worldwide, and the World Bank Group.
